are serving in Iraq ? As compared to Democrats, or kids who signed up in ROTC, then reserves on the promise of college money, or for the ghetto kids that signed away their lives for $10,000? Is it the same as the Repupulican leaders of today served in Veitnam:

My apologies for the muddled question. No excuses ,brain disengaged
I had read a remark about the the 'type' and values of those serving in Iraq. It was off putting and snide, and as always directed at Libs and their kids. I lost the Question and wanted ask other readers about it.
Without patriotism to rely on the military has now raised it's financial incentives. This week it announced new recruits could get up to $20,000 in bonuses .
It's in this hostile enviorment that the Army is trying to sell parents on the idea on the idea of their kids carrying a gun.
Not many of them are eager to send their kids off to a diasterous fiasco that is turning into a civil war.
On line Journal; Last week, the Government Accountability Office (GAO), the investigative unit of Congress, released a report indicating that the Pentagon has been calling up reserve soldiers who are ill or medically unfit to serve. The reservists are serving primarily in Iraq and Afghanistan. Oct 2005

Last week hundreds of reservists who had served their time in Iraq were called up. Many did not respond. Some may flatly refuse to go. Problems in Iraq are escalating and Bush says we may be there for years. Who will serve in Iraq, in Afghanistan while Bush shakes his fist and starts in on Iran.

You are a real fighter! However we live in a hostile environment where ever we are! The earth is a beautiful, and dangerous place! Anything can happen at any time any where! There has always been wars! Someone will always go!I do not think it is the money that is the basis of these young people from the "GHETTO",the person(s) could be from anywhere! Perhaps some of them are doing what he or she believes is right! Inividuals have thier own reasons for doing something! As for the "Repuplicans" or The Great " I will Be" dosen`t matter! remember: I said you are a fighter! And you should always fight for what you believe in! If you fight long enough and hard enough, someday, you will win! Even it it means to die trying, even if it is for the benefit of some one else!

Very few Republicans. They're all benefitting from the tax breaks in America so they can pay the Democrats and other patriotic people to fight their wars for them. Kerry served in Vietnam but Bush never set foot in that country or even completed his national guard service.

You SURELY don't buy into the liberal garbage you read on most of Yahoo Answers, do you? The four soldiers that I personally know, or know of, all happen to be Republicans. They have all been in harm's way, like the troops under their commands. Yes, they are all officers, from Annapolis and West Point, and they all came from ordinary families and had to make it on their own.

I understood your question.
But everyone is right. If you sign up......then what can we say. Everyone knows that if you sign you could go to war.
About the children promised only 10,000 because they are ethnic.....I would need a link or something before I could debate that. It was my undertanding that everyone gets the same thing. Now ROTC may get more perks and proabably should.

Well probably most of them because they are forced to be a republican. When I was in the Army in the 2000 election I was told I couldn't vote unless I voted for Bush. My whole platoon didn't vote because none of us were voting for Bush!

You need to rephrase the questions. It's an interesting subject but the way you have it worded it is incomprehensible.
