I am 20 years old and my boyfriend of 3 and a 1/2 years gave me a promise ring last night, what finger am I supposed to wear it on? Thanks for the help!

I am not getting dumped! He showed me the wedding ring I am getting, it is being custom made and won't be done for a few months so this is to hold it's place...I was asking what finger, not what you would do if your daughter got one! Thanks!

If a boy had given my daughter a promise ring, it would have been returned immediately, then I would have promptly beat him down. Either have the gumption to get engaged or break it off. Promise rings are no promise. This d-a is just wanting to give you the impression of commitment. Sorry, but you are being duped.

First of all Congradulations, second a promise ring is one step below an engagement ring, you would were it on your left ring finger just like an engagement ring, because it signifies that you are promising to be his. and that he has made a promise to you to be faithful.

you can wear it on either finger, i wear mine on the left, to represent the marriage possibility. not marriage just a promise of it in the future

they say to wear it on right hand but i wore it my ring finger just because i wanted to.

I wore mine on my engagement finger, but someone said I was suppose to wear it on my right hand..
