use a public computer, such as at a library, and make a screen name on yahoo or something with a fake name

there are lots of ways that are ALMOST completely anonymous, in which only the government could find out, but virtually anonymous to most people, such as the person you're ratting out. unless they are with the fbi,i think you'll find a way
most likely, the child abuse center you email will keep your name anonymous, and why would they give out your ip address to the person accused? If a child is in danger because your afraid you'll be blamed, then you cant care about the child very much, it needs to be reported immediantly

Just rat em out. I'd be more worried about the child getting taken care of properly than for my safety for ratting on the child abuser. And yes, i've heard of sites where you can send an anonymous email. just do a web search for 'untraceable email' or some terms like that.

Yes, you just setup a free e-mail account at yahoo, gmail, hotmail, ect. it may ask for your real information such as name, and so forth, but of course you give it bogus info. then you use that e-mail account to log into if you want to send someone anonymously. I'm not saying to do this, this information is for educational purposes only. Remember, even if you use a free account to do this, the person who gets the e-mail may be able to track down or trace the IP address of the computer it came from using a wide range of FREE software available on the information super highway! ; )

no way to send them anonymously. Although they are some services on internet which can send them anonymously, on every server which this email comes through, this email is logged so it can be traced
