Lassie's too classy a dog to fight unless her owner was in trouble. So I think by default that the Littlest Hobo would win because he'd start the fight.

I do like both. The Hobo is streetwise and probably knows some dirty tricks. That would have you thinking that he has the edge.
Lassie however just gets torn in doesn't she. She has licked every animal she has come across.
So I think Lassie would just win even though they are both brave little sods, but Hobo is a more of a detective than an all round hero dog.

Despite the fact that Lassie has a ton of hair to hide behind, Hobo could take Lassie any day of the week.
As a male dog that has been forced for years to play a female character, Lassie's self-esteem is battered. He's no longer got the cojones for a proper dust up.

Lassie would run to get help! Old yellow would step in and ask them whats going on..they would all wag tales and discuss where each one should pee. Then lassie would come running to tell us that its all been sorted and we should feed them.
