Resisting the temptation to provide a lay diagnosis, you really must call NHS Direct if you are in the UK - 0845 46 47. You will talk to trained health professionals (e.g. nurses - RSN and RGN) not doctors.
They will take details and very will often call you back but that's mainly to prevent crank calls and also to get the best person to speak to you first.
Without a (urine) sample for analysis, you may as well call a witch doctor as get advice from Answers - there is no way of validating the replies, even if the responder claims to be a medical physician.
You could have anything from cystitis to a UTI, worse still an STD, perhaps even mild complications of irritable bowel syndrome. The point I'm making is that the reason we go to the doctors is to get a professional diagnosis, based upon solid tests.
Doctors and GPs are just human beings at the end of the day, and fart and burp and make the odd mistake just like the rest of us. What your question implies is that you would rather trust complete strangers with a wide mixture of good advice and the occasional dose of pure bullshit, over a 7 year trained health professional.
If you want to hold on to your pain, do nothing - it's entirely up to you. The number is there if you want to call it.

It sounds very much like you have a UTI (urinary tract infection). As with any infection, it really needs to be treated with antibiotics from the doctor. All that is likely to happen if you go to see a doctor is that he will ask about your symptoms, ask you for a urine sample, and prescribe antibiotics. Doctors and other medical professionals are there to help you and there is nothing to be scared of.
However, if you really can't face the doctors, id advise you to drink as much fluid as you can to flush out your system. Try cranberry juice (or cranberry extract capsules) as well, it is also good for the bladder. Avoid alcohol and caffiene, these will only make it worse.

I agree with the other answers. Sounds like a urinary tract infection, which can lead to a bladder infection and a kidney infection. Drinking Cranberry juice will help, because it acts like filter. But you should also see your doctor asap. you made need an antibiotic to get rid of the infection.

Urinary tract infection - very common and often caused by bacteria from the back passage getting in there so only wipe front to back, if left untreated can eventually cause more serious problems so go to the doc - or nurse- and get a course of antibiotics - you need these. They will probably want an urine sample.

Urinary tract infection or bladder infection might be in the kidneys as well. Drink lots of cranberry juice to help flush your system. Go see a doctor to get started on antibiotics.

You will need to see a doctor, you probably have an infection and will need meds. The longer you wait the worse it can get, depending on the infection it can lead to more serious problems.
Take lukewarm baths to flush out your privates. Do not use bubble bath or any cleansing products.
See a doctor ASAP!

Cystitis or water infection (very common). Go to your GP he will prescribe anti-biotics. Clears up within days, in the mean time cranberry juice helps and drinking plenty of water.

Sorry, but you really need to go to the doctor or you might risk getting crotch rot. Which do you fear more? A proper diagnosis with a treatment recommendation from a qualified professional or your privates rotting off and falling on the floor?
