1. Take a CPR class (prerequisite to EMT-Basic class)
2. Take an EMT-Basic course (usually only takes a semester)
3. Complete an EMT-Paramedic class (takes about a year). You then will need to take the National Registry test to become a paramedic. That, along with any required state testing, should get you a decent job as a field paramedic with a 911 response company (ground transport)
4. You will need at least two years of experience as a medic before you can become a flight paramedic. Meanwhile, you can work on your associate's or bachelor's degree in emergency medicine or some other health related field, take the "alphabet soup courses" (ACLS, BTLS, PALS, PEPP, ATLS, CCEMT-P), and work on getting lots of field experience.
5. After all that, you will be qualified to apply for a job as a flight paramedic!

Study CPR, than Basic Life Support BLS, then Adult Emerg Defib AED
Then volunteer at a hospital
You could work as a tech in an ER at a Trauma Hospital
then join a first aid squad as a volunteer cadet
The go to school to become a Paramedic or LPN, EMT or RN.
EMT School is 6 weeks, 3 days a week in the summer
You could join the services and get experineces as a "real" Medic
Join a aeronautical club, etc
