How much lower would sperm count be in a second ejaculation that occurred within an hour, or perhaps a half hour, of the first? Is this below the threshold of fertility?
It is usually not below the threshold of fertility. Because a man makes sperm continually, there is always sperm in the vas deferens and the storage area on top of the testicles (epidydimis) that has sperm ready. Certainly, when couples are having fertility problems, it is suggested that they have intercourse only once every three days, but usually men will have sperm that could be involved in fertilization.
Is it possible that this practice would this be an effective method of birth control, particularly if combined with a spermicide and practiced late in the woman's cycle?
It is possible that it will reduce the risk of a potential pregnancy but I would never suggest that it is an effective means. Using spermicide and late in the cycle (depending on what you mean by late) also help reduce the risk.

Yes, multiple masturbation will reduce his sperm count, however if he is healthy and his sperm is healthy too, it does not matter how many times he masturbates, he will get you pregnant. So he ejaculated and then penetrated you and did he ejaculate again? if so, yes you can definitely get pregnant. Unprotected sex, no matter which the conditions are, will get you pregnant. Now, if you were not on your fertile days I'd say you will be fine so were you ovulating while you had this unprotected sex? if so you can definitely get pregnant.

It is true that frequent sex reduces sperm count but that's a really poor method of birth control! If you have unprotected sex, you can get pregnant. Even if you have protected sex there is a chance you can get pregnant. Your best bet is to use several forms of birth control at the same time (ie. pill & condom, sponge & condom, etc) but it's still a gamble.

Yes masturbating several times before having sex will decrease the amount of semen in ejaculation. But you can still get pregnant if he inserts his penis into you after ejaculating. Your chances of pregnancy are low because sperm dies when it hits the air.

Yes... the sperm count will be lower because he has gotten most of the sperm out with his first ejaculation but that doesn't mean that you aren't pregnant...it only takes one or two little strong guys to find your egg!

It lowers the sperm count each time, BUT ... the first one may shoot out 3 million, the 2nd one may shoot out 2 million, the 3rd one, 1 million. I'm not sure what that would ratio out to ... but even after 4 of them, you still have 1/2 a million reasons to worry about it. So, yes.

Multiple orgasms in one day will lower the sperm count each time but it only takes one of them to get you pregnant so anything is possible.
