how can i play starcraft over the LAN but without internet? me and my brother is connected through wires. all my other games work with it but this one just isnt wanting to work. i own both star craft and the expansion... when my brother makes a game i cant see his game and its not on the window where it should be. all the computer settings are correct. PLEASE HELP ME!!! first one to answer gets best answer! (unless its a bunch of bull ****)thanks!

Make sure that you are both using either Starcraft: BroodWar, or Starcraft. You both need to select the same one.

Also make sure that you have patched up on both computers (http://www.blizzard.com/patches/ )

Also make sure that you are selecting the Local Area Network UDP, not IPX. If you don't see this option, then you're not patched up.

You also want to make sure that any firewalls on your system (Windows XP Firewall, for instance) are configured to allow port 6112 udp. If you're on windows XP, be sure to see here: http://www.blizzard.com/support/?id=msi0549p . You need to be sure that ALL of the firewalls are configured. turn off your firewall.
