RE:
Finish that statement by Johnny Carson to Mrs. Arnold Palmer?
Johnny Carson asked Mrs. Palmer: What helps Arnold Palmer to be successful. Mrs Palmer replied: I kiss his balls. Johnny then said:

"I bet that makes his putter stand up", I was watching it with my Mom and we laughed our heads off. Mrs. Palmer laughed too and did NOT leave the show at all. I would have remembered that.

Amazing. So many sites claim that this is not true.

"I bet that makes his putter stand up."
It's not fake. Here's a link of the trasncript from CNN that confirms this as a favourite memory of Johnny when they had a special on him after he died.

It's hard to find so you'll have to do a find for "putter stand" to get to it

Carson supposedly quipped, "I'll bet that flutters your putter."
However, this is an urban legend.

First of all, it is true. I saw it. Yes, I'm old! As best as I can remember, his response was, "I bet that put a rise in his putter."
