Why is it there are people who label themselves a certain way...and they totally are not? Are they just trying to fit in? I don't really understand why they do it.

I'm not necessarily saying it's wrong to do this...I am just curious why people do not want to be "themselves"...life is too short to pretend you are something you are not.

The same reason that teens dye their hair. To be cool and fit in. Nobody likes to be alone and they need to find their niche in life. Some people need to fit in so badly that they need to pretend that they are something that they are not. The sad thing is that in the long run, tho only one that they are lying to is them selves.

Those type of people try to impress and want to be in a click of people who would not pay attention to them if they did not pretend. I think that it is sad that people do this. My advice to those type of people be yourself it is less stressful on you. Becasue even the in crowd is not all they seem to be either.

a person who pretends 2 b something there not is called a poser. & the reason they do what they do is cause they want 2 b the center of attention

Because we all have skeletons in our closets, and they are afraid someone will find theirs out, so they portray to be different, thinking that nobody will think bad of them or nobody will find out anything about them.
The sad part is, sometimes actions can be louder than words, and too, the truth always comes out. Sooner or later.
