How far along are you? I work 40 hours a week as a medical transcriptionist, and I do a lot of sitting! Early in my pregnancy (and mind you I'm only at 18 weeks, so I'm still considered in early pregnancy), I HAD to get up to move around because I was feeling discomfort from sitting...aches and pains in my legs and hips. I also had dull cramping when I'd go from sitting to standing. I get up to walk frequently now, and I think that it's pretty normal...my OB didn't seem too concerned about it. Baby is doing really well too. If you have concerns, you should bring them up to your doctor at your next visit. He/she should be able to make some suggestions to ease your pregnancy aches and pains. Congratulations, and good luck to you through your pregnancy!

When you sit down the baby has less room and so you probably feel more mild discomfort. If you feel pain I would ask my doctor because early in pregancy you may feel twinges but it shouldn't be painful.

i don't mean to scare you, but i would call your ob. i had the exact same problem and i kept going to my ob, they would measure my cervix and each week it got thinner and thinner, finally at 20 weeks i was put in the hospital on bed rest, i gave birth at 30 weeks due to an incompitant cervix. that may not be your case at all, but it sure is something i would look into. good luck hun. Sorry if i freaked you out. :)

as your walking your baby is sleeping as it feels like its being rocked to sleep as soon as you rest in sitting down and going to bed this is when the baby wakes up and gives you a punch wanting you to get back up and rock them back to sleep i use to always get it that's what i was told don't worry!!
but if you are really worried go to the doctors
