I know some of my friends had "issues" turning 30.... thou being a girl that is single and doesn't have kids I don't have to worry about turning 30....no one to hold me accountable to my age yet so could stay 29.... thou I still have 2 more years til there and all my guy buddies have informed me that they are going to make sure that people know I turn 30...especially since they had to turn it...try to tell 'em its different for girls and they dont really believe me...thou one of them has a sister who has been 29 for a few years lol

I didn't have a problem turning 30, just another reason to party. 34 on the other hand... what a day! Don't ask me why that birthday was the hard one. I guess reality set in.... i was 34, UGH! ...now I am 35, which seems really weird, but more acceptable.

It was awesome!! Great party, said good bye to my twenty's!! You get more respect when your thirty, I think. No more of the "aw, your just a kid". GODDAMN respect I tell ya!! Plus, it's the first real birthday party since you turned 21, and will probably be the last until you turn the big 5-0! Great times. Now turning 31, that's a different story...

A lot of people told me you feel different when you are 30-and other said you are getting old!
When I did, I didn't feel any different! We all get older!
Last year, I became ill and was pretty close to knocking on heaven's door & pretty much re-eveluated everything!
Age is just a number-in my mind, I'm still 16!
But I'm grateful I'm here!!!

Physically, it felt the same as when I turned 29. Mentally however, it was a new milestone in my life. I made career changes and focused on my family more.

I still felt like a kid in many ways even though I had all my own stuff. I also felt like I had no excuses to not be independent, happy and resourceful anymore. It was great! My friends and I threw a big party for me. (and I'm not a party person)
