Well thats just dandy. Blame the teachers why not. Shall I bend over too so you can kick me up the backside while you are at it?
On average children spend 5 hours a day , 5 days a week apart from holidays, being taught in a class room. Where do they spend the rest of the time? Behaviour of some children is horrendous which detracts from the learning of the others in the class who just want to get on. What are their parents thinking of? When I was a child I would have never spoken to an adult the way I have been spoken to in a classroom. The whole subject of the education of our children is a lot more complicated than you make out. Incidentally I have quit teaching now as I want a proper job where I am not subjected to this kind of abuse on a daily basis just for trying to do a good job for the children. Perhaps you will feel happier when there is nobody willing to teach at all.

On behalf of teachers, not enough are employed, classes are too big, they keep changing the curriculum procedures. Teachers have too much paperwork that they have to do in their own time. The best teachers have worked outside of teaching before embarking on teaching, therefore their older. Young teachers are given too much responsibility. There is no discipline because there is no authority other than overworked teachers.

The rot set in with the UK education system when they abolished grammar schools, and adopted the policy of "dumbing down ".I also think that teachers have a very narrow view of life because all they have done is go to school, go to University and go back to school I think they should be forced to work in the real world and enter teaching after the age of 25.

Do you mean to say...the USA is not the only nation in the world that suffers the curse of incompetents running its public education system??
AMAZING!
It's getting to the point that the best answer is to take it all out of the dead hands of government.

1) mother's who drink during pregnancy cause "organic brain damage" (FAS/D, FAE, ARND's) which is a bigger problem in a students ability to learn...
2) teacher's & the entire educational system is archaic & teacher's are taught to teach that way...Not thier desire...
3) Education needs to catch up to the 21st century & use technology...If a kid can't get math, teach the use of a calculator...You think many grown adults figure out problems in thier head or on paper? NOT
Not bad teacher's...Bad Education System, like government out of touch with reality...

training starts on the 2nd of delivery, and if we are sensible, keeps our entire existence. Many instructors might like dad and mom to have self belief that once a new child reaches some magical age between 2 and 5, in elementary terms "instructors" are qualified to coach babies. This, of direction, is nonsense.

The problem is the whole system needs to be replaced. John Stossel (from 20/20) did this report where they tested above average kids from America with kids from Belguim (who have a voucher program) and the Belguim wiped the floor with us. We need a more competitive school system.

Teachers are competent it's parents needs their backside kicked in line and learn to look after their children properly, instead of teaching how to be a Chav, nerds and ASBO's
