You know, when I was younger, I would hide the fact that I was on online dating sites. I would sort of feel ashamed. Why couldn't I find a mate the traditional way.
However, as I got older and got married, I look back and talk to my friends and see that it is very hard for people to find the time to search for a mate. Therefore, there's online dating. Much more convenient.
I'm okay with it now. I see it. I know friends who use it. And I think it's just fine.
Guess that's what happens when we all "grow up".

IDK, it's never really bothered me, but I wouldn't ever do it, cuz u never know who ur gonna meet on the internet. Even if you met the person after a while, he's not a raper, or anything like that, and he's the TRUE PERSON he says he is....that might not be intirely true, he could come out of the blue one night on a date with you, and get really upset and abusive. I mean, you never know. That goes to regular dating too, not just online dating. I always be careful with who I choose to date.

I actually joined an online dating website once, out of curiousity, and ended up meeting my fiancee through it. Go figure.

Very Cautious. I no longer date but have friends that are into this. I am always warning them to be careful. I feel OK talking to people on-line but I never give out personal information.

They are a good safe place to start if.....You must really know the person before you try to meet them.
But, I do feel when both parties are honest, it can turn out to be a good tool. You can weed out the ones that don't "match" with you quickly.

i don't feel like its safe. you cant trust anyone nowadays. and meeting someone on-line? they could give you a false picture tell you false things. if you do it you are taking a huge gamble. i personally would never do it. your best bet is a good friend to enjoy your time with. when the time is right someone will just show up in your life especially when you least expect it. good luck!

I wouldn't be opposed to it. It seems like a good way to meet people in your area.

For hundreds and hundreds of years, people met other people of the oposite sex face to face. Ah, the good ole days.
