Glands under your arm are lymph nodes and they react to any problem involving the side of your chest, neck and arm. If you have a rash in the area involved, then the glands could be swelling in response to the rash. Lymph nodes are fighters of infection and they work to stop infections and other problems, such as tumors from overcoming your immune system. I would see a physician as soon as possible, to try and find out the underlying cause of the swollen gland and the rash.
