took me 4 months felt so bad was gonna leave had resignation letter and everything in my bag then everything just fell into place
there's a lot to get the hang of what the job entails(especially if it a new direction) the people you work with your expectations their expectations
some people wont give you the time of day till they realise you are a stayer and can see what you can offer it takes a long time to fully integrate into an existing social circle or find the best one for you if there are many (my first day i walked into the staffroom everyone stared for a few seconds looked me up and down and then got on with what they were doing i felt like a square peg in a round hole!!!!! now a good majority consider me an asset) id give it 6 months if still not happy look elsewhere

Different people react differently and take different times to relate to others, a lot of it depends on how much time you have with your colleagues - free time I mean, like coffee, lunch breaks etc.
If you're having difficulty settling down, why don't you try and invite the friendliest face to coffee, it's a short break, you have a chat and he/she will call someone else to coffee next time, and so on and soon you'll know the whole department. Just hang in there!!!

It depends on the company and your role within it. In my last job, it was three months before I really felt settled but once I did, I loved it there. I was really sorry to have to leave when I moved in with my boyfriend and I couldn't get to my job anymore. I still really regret leaving, still identify with my old company and would love to go back.

About 3 months, it takes that long to learn all aspects of the environment and the job, contacts, colleagues, training.

3 months if the job is ok. You just need to sit back & learn your job, suss out the work set up, ethics, rules & colleagues & then you will feel settled (or not!).

Well I guess that would depend on whether you swept the floors on your new job or you were a manager. It would also depend on how much experience you have in sweeping floors or management
