I would rather be stressed and understanding. I believe you feel true happiness when you are stressed about the complexities of the world and find ways to overcome it. I would also rather grow as a person and one grows with trials and tribulations. I think the complexities of the world are stressful and tough for a reason. What that reason may be I have yet to learn.

It's difficult to ignore the complexities of the world even if you are simple minded. I prefer to be informed/aware and happy

Considering the fact that my brain never stops trying to figure things out and it keeps me awake at night I would probably prefer to be simple minded and happy. When you really look at the realities of the world it can be quite depressing, the suffering and indifference etc. Even in day to day life, when you are very observant you can see how self centered and close minded people can be. Of course you can try and look on the bright side, but chances are if you are truly someone who is awake and aware, you are probably pretty lonely.

Probably simple minded and happy, I wouldn't know the difference then would I!!!
However come to think of it I would be missing out on a lot of interesting and amazing things.
So could I just be happy???

I'd rather be simple-minded and happy. There's too much bullshit going on in the world right now that I just want to build a WALL around myself as a shield from all that ****. As for other people, I'd like them to be however they'd feel comfortable. I don't like it when people try to force ideas on me, and I sure as hell won't do that to others. Good question though, Steve.

I'm 56 years old.Never once in my life have I known ignorance to be an advantage. What makes you think ignorant people are happy? Naturally I learn more as time goes on and I'm by far the happiest now that I've ever been.
