Have you left the old country and if so, for good/will you ever return?

i am from south africa(currently in the usa)
i know for sure that 1 day i will return to my beloved country.
the things that make me want to go home are the people,culture and the beauty of the land....you cant find all those things here in the states!!!!

I've been away for 5 years and stay in Korea now. I'm not sure when I'll return to South Africa. I hope for it to be soon, but it's not up to me. You see my kids and wife are here as well and they have adapted very well to life here. Kids are doing good in school and will most probably have a difficult time in a South African school when they return. I think I'll be back before 2010 though. I do go home every year in January.

I am sure there are many South Africans who would dearly love to return to their Country but are unable to do because of the high levels of violent crime,unemployment,poverty,HIV/Aids etc. If you visit the website www.crimexposouthafrica.org you will see contributions from many expats who are extremely concerned for loved one's they have left behind and the general state of the Country. Africa is in the blood for these people and perhaps when the situation is stabilised they will be able to return and enjoy the many things SA has to offer in an environment of peace and freedom to roam freely.

I am South African and currently living in the States myself! i do miss the country and beauty but dont think I will ever return. Only to visit my folks in sunny Durban!

Have lived in many different countries, still travel widely, but now living permanently in SA. My passion and work is for the development of the country.

Actually, the country in which I am right now looks older than God Himself (UK). I can't wait to go back to South Africa this coming December.

mmhh well i have friends in who live in south africa and they say when they get out of high school they want to come to the states for college because the crime there is out of control.
