I monitor my fertility with a saliva indicator. I have fertile days and I try on those. Still no results.

I would talk to your doctor. Double check and make sure everything went fine during the procedure. I had an abortion last August and 4 months later I got pregnant again. I am now 9 months pregnant and everything is fine. Good luck!

It might be your body rejecting it. I know in some cases it will. Monitoring and keeping track of all that stuff is honestly just stress to yourself which makes it harder to concieve. Stress is the # 1 thing that will casue you not to get pregnant. Also if you have had an abortion withing the last year or really I don't think it matters how long it has been, it is extra hard for a woman to become pregnant. My best friend had an abortion when she was 16 and she is 21 now and has been trying to get prgnant for the last 3 years and nothing has worked. She went to that doctor and they told her that it was a good possibilty that she may never have a kid b/c of the abortion. Having an abortion damages your inside female organs. Good Luck I wish you the best in trying to conceive, it is very hard to do, My fiance and I have been trying for the last few months.

To give a better answer I would have to know how many months you have been trying. It could just be you need to try a little longer, only a doctor could be sure. Abortions do not gaurentee fertility problems, it is a myth that has stuck from the days of botched coathanger jobs. Although your body reacts to an abortion like a miscarriage and have you checked with your OB?GYN to make sure it has been a safe amount of time in between?
My queston is why are you asking us and not a doctor?

Well Mz. Thang! Why did u have an abortion 8 months ago. If you were raped, I can understand. But if you choose to abort the fetus, why? Know you are trying to conceive after the abortion. I don't understand. Like someone else said on here, you would soon be having that beautiful little baby right now. It is so easy to lay down with someone, but there are consequences to your actions. Protect yourself, and if you are young (14 - 19), really think about what you are and to the one you are giving birth to.

I really hope that something horrible happened and that was the reason behind your abortion...otherwise, you are in NO position to be having a child now. It is situations like this that make me want to cry - I have been trying for a child for over a year now & within that same time span, you've disposed of one child & decided that you're ready for another! I won't say it is God or karma, but I think you need to make up your mind before jumping into motherhood - it is a full time job & you can't take her/him back after your baby is born!

it will happen when your body is ready. but definitely check with your doctor to be sure no scarring had taken place during your last procedure.

i had a d&c last year which is pretty much the same procedure, and i got pregnant in 4 months only to have a miscarriage. then i got pregnant again 4 months after that. this pregnancy seems to be going well now that my body has fully recovered. Think of having an abortion as an assault on your body. (same as any surgical procedure) your body needs to recover. give it time.

Okay.....confused here. Why didn't you just have the kid 8 months ago? Maybe your body isn't ready yet. I could see if you'd done it like 8 years ago but 8 months ago? If you'd let nature take it's course you'd be a month away from being a momma. I'm sure you may have a reasonable explanation. Maybe you should have elaborated on your question a little bit. All you're going to get now is a lot of judgement.

Quit being so judgemental there could have been a lot of reasons she had an abortion... like if they baby wasn't forming correctly or was attached in the wrong place. I thought you weren't supposed to judge others if you are so religious? I would go see a doctor or a fertility clinic.

if you ask any doctor, they will tell you that it often takes a year of trying before the average couple conceives. sometimes it happens on the first try, sometimes it takes a while. try charting as well as using a saliva monitor - you should be trying in the days leading up to your fertile period as well.

please ignore all the people talking about god and karma. they are wrong.

Why did you change your mind? since you prematurely aborted a fetus your body might be rejecting this one, maybe you should think about trying to have another one its only been 8 months since your last one, are you ready?
