I don't. In my case, I don't think it was, since I was always struggling and even when I did get help from teachers I still flunked assignments. That combined with other personal problems I had was why I dropped out of high school.

no, I think everyone is too different, and some people just aren't cut out for it... or the other way around.

Do you have attention deficit disorder, or a learning disability? Maybe no one ever cared to find out. My son has adhd, and with modifications, controlled and specific medication, and help in organizing his schedule, he has been able to be successful. I hate to hear about anyone slipping through the cracks because no one made the effort to find out why you were struggling. But if that isn't the case, I must tell you that a high school education is extremely important. Get your ged, at least. And then, go to community college and learn something you are interested in. You are responsible for trying to better yourself. Obviously, no one else is. You can put sentences together, and spell correctly- so you are not an idiot. Do the best thing you can for yourself- overlook all that other bs in the world and get an education.

Maybe the High school enviroment is not for everyone. You probably needed a tuitor as u went throughout highschool. Or likse someone else said you could have been home schooled and that way you would have more time to learn certain things, and you would have more help and attention that you might not have been getting from your school

I don't think it is for everyone, but you should still try to stay in school. There's for sure a stigma that stays with you even if you have a GED (like I do) Maybe because it's the WOW, you didn't finish school what else can't you accomplish? That's how I feel & I am totally a quitter.

You say you had peronal problems. I feel that was a big part of your problem at school. You can get your GED over the internet. Have you tried to do that? School is a demand. Not a choice. But when you reach a certain age, then you can refrain from going to school. Try for your GED. I am sure you can do it...

GOOD LUCK

no high school is not meant for everyone. however, you probably would have had more success if there was an alternative high school which caters to students who need something a bit different from the standard high school experience. you should either go back or at least get your ged. good luck.

Yes I do. In your case you can always get your
GED. My youngest brother went back and got his GED
and he was in his late 30's. Sounds like your schools let you down rather than help you overcome
the obstacles. Sad to say that was the norm years
ago. Rather than face a problem the schools just passed it along to someone else.

High School as designed for everyone but not everybody is made for the School system. In years from now you will find that school was the easiest hard thing of your life compared to working and family

ugh. i'm having a prob. with high school right now. My mom wanted to move 4months ago from Fl so i agreed if she'd get me homeschooled but the school wont let me get homeschooled because i'm 16 and school started today and i refuse to go so my mom is trying to get me to drop out but i don't wanna be a dropout. i know people older than me that get homeschooled. my school is just effing retarded. so no, i don't think high school is for everyone.

Yes, high school is meant for everyone, but not necessarily a traditional one. There are specialized high schools and even internet high schools. College is another matter. . . . . . .

nope, but there are a few alternatives in some places. My brother used an alternative. I am very proud of him for finishing. He hated school, and some people just do.

It is not for everyone, but that does not mean that you should give up!
