Are we fighting a war on terror or aren't we? Was it or was it not started by Islamic people who brought it to our shores on September 11, 2001? Were people from all over the world, mostly Americans, not brutally murdered that day, in downtown Manhattan, across the Potomac from our Nation's Capitol, and in a field in Pennsylvania? Did nearly three thousand men, women, and children die a horrible, burning, or crushing death that day, or didn't they? And I'm supposed to care that a copy of the Koran was "desecrated" when an overworked American soldier kicked it or got it wet? Well, I don't.I don't care at all.
I'll start caring when Osama bin Laden turns himself in and
repents for incinerating all those innocent people on 9/11.
I'll care about the Koran when the fanatics in the Middle East start caring about the Holy Bible, the mere possession of which is a crime in Saudi Arabia.
I'll care when Abu Musab al-Zarqawi tells the world he is sorry for hacking off Nick Berg's head

while Berg screamed through his gurgling, slashed throat. I'll care when the cowardly so called "insurgents" in Iraq come out and fight like men instead of disrespecting their own religion by hiding in mosques. I'll care when the mindless zealots who blow themselves up in search of nirvana care about the innocent children within range of their suicide bombs. I'll care when the American media stops pretending that their
First Amendment liberties are somehow derived from international law (U.N.) instead of the United States Constitution's Bill of Rights. In the meantime, when I hear a story about a brave Marine roughing up an Iraqi terrorist to obtain information, know this: I don't care. When I see a fuzzy photo of a pile of naked Iraqi prisoners who
have been humiliated in what amounts to a college hazing incident, rest assured that I still don't care. When I see a wounded terrorist get shot in the head when he is told
not to move because he might be booby-trapped, you can take

it to the bank that I don't care. Not one bit.

When I hear that a prisoner, who was issued a Koran and a prayer mat, and fed "special" food that is paid for by my tax dollars, is complaining that his holy book is being "mishandled," you can absolutely believe in your heart of hearts that I don't care.

And oh, by the way, I've noticed that sometimes it's spelled "Koran" and other times "Quran." Well, Jimmy Crack Corn and ---- you’ve guessed it, I DON'T CARE!

WOW...what love, what compassion, what...a complete and utter lack of political knowledge about the world and those that populate it! Your blatant ignorance is astounding.
It is evident you value your twisted sense of "lynch-mob" justice to actual democratic, honest action.
Let me guess, you voted for DubbleYa, didn't you? I thought so...I could just tell...

Tell me, when you were bullied at school, did you thank the bullies? Were you grateful and pleased that they kicked your butt? No??? My, what double standards...but then again, it's not your fault you haven't bothered to educate yourself to the history behind the american atrocities that have been occuring for decades, even to this day....strangely enough, in and about the Arab countries!

You, little girl(mentally speaking, of course) are a hypocrite and a fool, if you think the blame for all this rests SOLEY on others and not your country and YOU. Tell me, is your neck red, by any chance? (bet you claim to be xtian though)

"Dur, history? Polertics?? Whut's them then...? Mr. puresident sed it's good so it MUST be..."

We can only hope that people like you never have kids to carry on your disgusting, hate fuelled sense of "do as I say, not as I do" logic...and you people actually WONDER why the rest of the world hates you!!!???

EDIT:

I have been shown to be a Fool.

My above rant at this question was based on my INCORRECT assumption that this was the personal thoughts of the questioner, expressed through this site.

HOW WRONG I WAS.

My mistake was to not read the question with my eyes, but instead with my emotions. Because of that error, I missed five vital words that would have shown me the questioners intent, had I had the presence of mind to see them. These five words, had I have actually read them, would also have enabled me to answer the question, which I did not.
I consider my previous answer to show ME as a COMPLETE AND UTTER FOOL, as has been kindly pointed out to be, I must admit.

This is such a shameful miscarriage of justice to me, that I should allow myself to wrongly accuse and attack an innocent person, that I consider this public apology to the questioner the least I can do and to hopefully show my sincerity in such action.

TO MANA: You have shown me to be the Fool that I am. I can only apologise to you for the hurtful words I attacked you with and can only hope with humility that you can forgive such an error on my part.
I obviously did not read the question as it was meant.
I wrongly allowed my emotions to take control of my rationality.
I accused you of things you are not responsible for.
I wished things upon you that were wholly unjustified.

I AM SORRY FOR MY PREVIOUS COMMENTS.

(to finally answer your question, YES, I find that statement highly offensive.(how did you guess?)) (weak smile...)

Actually, Iraqis had nothing to do with 9/11, specially the innocent children that have died there. I hope someone does care.
I lived and worked in DC until recently so 9/11 was close to me. In fact I saw the smoke from the Pentagon from my office. Anyhow, terrorists will not turn themselves in or appologize. Hell will freeze over first. We, however, must care in a democratic society to educate ourselves about history, geography, religion, world politics, etc.. so that we are not easily manipulated by politicians that only care about their own agenda. And we should not let hatred rule our hearts or our behavior, otherwise we will end up being even less than the scum we claim to hate... peace to all...

yes, nearly three thousand men, women, and children died a horrible death on sept 11, but whoever told you osama did it? ummm seems to me you been listening to liars.

if you wanna come even close to comprehending what's the truth about those plane crashes in september 11, you should begin pondering over what the american statistics say about rape, coz the same rule applies to sept 11: most of the time, it's done by someone known to the victim, often a person close to her, that she would never believe would harm her but then, like they say here, sh*it happens. know who to blame before throwing your spite on innocent people.

also, thousands of men, women, and children are dying everyday, at this very moment, in the middle east, in africa, and all over the world. so, what makes those american deaths more worthy of pity and anger than the other thousands who've died unjustly and still do everywhere on this planet? why should i be more angry and weep more for them than the others?

now, saudi arabia is officially a muslim, 100 percent islamic state. america is not officially a christian country. it's made of people with a variety of beliefs, contrary to saudi arabia, and it surely is not a 100 per cent catholic country so you can't compare these two countries' rules and regulations when it comes to sacred texts.

about al-Zarqawi, you dunno the story so get your facts straight before you launch yourself on a nonsense tirade that nobody cares about.

you're most welcome to not care about the Quran and to keep hitting on millions of muslims as a nation just because you've got some issues to settle with some few individuals. i mean, who cares? no serious muslim would find your ranting offensive, amusing and pitiful more likely. and be sure that none of us will ever lose his/her sleep over your baseless and ignorant opinions. so, no offense taken here.

have yourself a nice, fulfilling life ;-)

Dang It!!!! I can only give you one thumbs up for your question... I'm with you all the way. I think they should do away with the Geneva Convention altogether. I think our CIA and special forces soldiers SHOULD be able to torture captive terrorists for information that might prevent another 9/11, because you can be sure as hell that they're torturing any of our people that they kidnap. I don't give a Sh!t about the human rights of terrorists, because they don't care about anything except wiping all Americans off the map.

There won't be any peace in the middle east until all the Islamic extremists and religious zealots are killed. We need to be more proactive in getting rid of them, instead of letting them hit us first.

Your problem is that you don't separate terrorists from the Muslim nations of the world. Your problem is simply this, you're a racist. You can't brand an entire people because of what certain people did. Either way, so what if three thousand people died in two building attacks? Why don't you read about Japanese Unit 731, the Armenian holocaust, the Jewish holocaust, the Rwandan genocide, the Kurdish genocide? Those are all topics that should interest someone like you if you honestly gave a **** that all those people died.

You can't fight a war on terror, as evidenced by our astonishing success. It's like dancing about architecture. Besides, don't we, as a nation, hold ourselves to a higher moral standard than a bunch of murderous extremists. We can't claim to be a better society without proving it. And we do not prove it when we trample all over our own ethics.

im with you 100% why do people care so much that we are treating crimanals poorly, they are not protected by the bill of rights, they are in US custody for a reason, so lets not be soft on them. and also, lets not blame all Muslims, because there are some peacefull ones out there. they just need to speak louder and attack the zeolots that get all the media attention.

Based upon the conditions that you set, I don't think that you will ever start caring at anytime in the future. Instead of focusing on things that you cannot change and things over which you have no control, focus on Jesus and let him handle the other stuff. 9/11 and the terrorist are his problem, not yours. He is in a far better position to handle things than you are. "Vengeance is mine, saith the Lord: I shall repay." Jesus loves you.

Yes, I agree with you. I was also angered by the worldwide fuss over the publication of a cartoon depicting Muhhamed (blasphemy for muslims). It's like they expect us Americans to forget about our values (freedom of speech) just to value theirs (no freedom of speech)

By saying you'll care when they start caring about the Holy Bible, you're no better than they are.
