Despite what many seem to believe about the Jewish Diaspora, the spread of Jewish people across the Mediterranean world did not leave their ancient homeland empty of Jews. Many thousands of Jewish people remained in the Middle East, especially around Jerusalem, throughout the period from the Roman's destruction of much of Jerusalem during the 1st century until the present day. Muslim claims to complete control of the region basically amount to their having conquered the territory several centuries ago. However, this overlooks both the changes of possession within the Muslim world (control from Egypt or by the Ottomans, for example) and the fact that the same argument suggests that the Byzantines (Greeks), Romans (Italians), Syrians, Macedonians, and Persians (Iranians) would all have better claims to the land than Arab Muslims. Also, now that there has been a democratic state occupying that territory for more than half-a-century, historical claims are legally irrelevant, because no version of the region's history can justify forcibly removing the entire population of an independent nation or forcibly destroying their democratic government and placing millions of free people under the autocratic rule of Muslim-supremacists.

Actually, Palestine is a misnomer for this land which was always Israel and Judea. Before that it was Canaan.
The Canaanites are extinct. The Jews were dispersed(Diaspora). 'Palestinians' are a political construct- just another Arab/Muslim tactic in eradicating Jews. Palestinians are Arabs-Jordanians, Syrians, Saudis. There is no such thing as 'Palestinians'.
This game has gone on since Abraham, Isaac, and Ishmael. In the land which is now wrongfully claimed as 'Palestine', there was virtually no one there until the Jews began returning in the late 1800's. Mark Twain visited there and wrote about it.
Turning the question around would be a better way to ask it.

It is a state recognised by the United Nations and as such is a sovereign power. Its economic stability and its military ability are seen by the West as bringing a pro-west balance to the region (this was especially so during the Cold War). It has come to an accord with two of its neighbours, namely Egypt and Jordan, and it is hoped will eventually be a positive democratic influence in the Middle East as a whole leading to the isolation of countries like Iran. The establishment of a Palestinian state with a democratic government would bring many advantages to both countries and would remove the core excuse for unrest and terrorism.

What's the right of any nation to live wherever it lives?
Who gave the Americans the right to exist in America? And the Australians, why do THEY live in Australia? Most of Europe was not inhabited by nowadays Europeans originally. And so is Asia, and America.
No one has the RIGHT to live where he lives.
It is known that the origin of the Jewish nation is Israel and that it was always part of the Jewish ritual (it is known in the name "Zion"), and since the Diaspora, the coming back to Zion was a very traditional prayer. By the end of the 19th century the Zionist movement started its activity to settle in Israel, since they knew that the Jewish nation can not live peacefully in Europe (and they were right, since the Holocaust came not so long afterwards).
I believe that the Jewish nation has the right to exist in Israel, just like any other nation has it right for a land.

Mark, your ignorance is embarrassing. Read some history before you write your idiotic nonsense.

''''''''Abraham came to the land 3600 years ago.

Muslims came about 1400 years ago''''''''''

Abraham was an arab and a muslim! and Moses was also arabian!

Jews dont have the right to any land in palestine, they have always been homeless, got kicked out from every country because they were unwanted by all nations and cultures, which i cant blame them! now they are all living all over the place and trying to take over lands they have no right to.

when they went to Palestine as 'REFUGEES' and the arabs there let them in and treated them well, they betrayed the arabs and took over.

why isnt there another Hitler....or lets wait for him to be born. not for all the jewish as some are in for peace, but for the israelis hopefully!

in 1948 the arab axis planned on annihilating the new state of Israel. But because they cannot kill fellow muslims (yeah right) they decided to drop leaflets saying they were going to attack and to leave to the nearest arabic country. You will be welcome with open arms and when Israel is no more you may take the land. So they all left...and guess what. They all lost Israel remained and the arabic countries through the Palestinians out.

Now who is the agressor again?

There is no state of Palestine.

The U.N. authorized them to have the land.

They have the same right we have to be here. We conquered the land and took it from the native Americans, Spanish, French, Portugese, and Mexicans. Israel has won their land by winning wars, just like we did. To the victor go the spoils. If Israel has to give back land, then so do we, and every single other country in the history of mankind.

Abraham came to the land 3600 years ago.

Moses returned more than 3000 years ago. Jews have lived there ever since.

Muslims came about 1400 years ago.

So I have this request to all Muslims in the Middle East.

GET OFF MY LAWN.

Thank you for your support.
