I have a 7 month old son. He has recently started "scooting" and can make his way around most of the house very quickly. Also, when in his walker he can basically run down the hall and maneuver through the bedrooms. It seems like no time ago that he was just lying there doing nothing. Does it feel like your kids are growing up fast too?

I think that is a perfectly normal feeling. My daughter is 2 and has recently figured out how to open every door in the house, turn lights off and on, brushes her own teeth, the list goes on and on. It seems like just yesterday she was too tiny to do anything at all. Time just flies when you are watching a baby grow up.

We have a five-year-old...the only child.
While we're not child experts, we suspect that he's pretty advanced for his age.
Probably due to the fact that we spend so much time with him, work with his words, give him opportunities to be responsible.

Your kid is probably picking up on a lot of things he sees and hears in your home.
He'll probably continue to amaze you for some time.

However, we'll all experience that mental growth recession when our kids become know-it-all teenagers!
And then we'll wonder "where did we go wrong?".
Just remember, this too, is normal.

YES! My 2-1/2 tear old son is a "little man" now. It seems like just yesterday we were bringing him home from the hospital. But as they get older, the become more fun.

You are going to be looking at him, blink, and he will be 18. They never slow down, but like a racecar with a leadfoot, grow older faster and faster. When they are done, innocence, sweetness, and that pure love from a childs heart barely exist, if at all, and they are another grumpy wrinkly old adult telling kids not to grow up so fast, and being ignored. :P

i feel for you they do grow fast you have to keep up with them because you will miss so much. it seems like just yesterday i had my first son. now he is in school it goes by so fast. take lots of pictures and let them know that you love them everyday. also write down something that they do everyday that you don't want to forget about it helps. theres noway to stop the growing so do things to help you remember them as they are now soon it will be to late
