I was applying to working with an in-home tutoring company and the guy said that there are only positions for P/T tutors. I am not sure what is stands for, but my main focus is on children or those specifically with special needs...does that ring any bells for anyone?

I believe the answer is simply Part Time meaning it is not a full time position and no benefits would be paid as in sick days or insurance.

Part Time Tutor (P/T) means you will only work a few hours probably around 20, not the Full time 40 hrs. a normal job would entail

A person that only tutors part time. Posiibly they have another job.
