i was in a horrible mood swing and i didnt feel good at all. i was at my friend kc's superbowl party. of course we werent interested in football, so we were in her room. kc, haley (my other friend) and jake (my soon-to-be boyfriend then and my ex now) were trying to figure out what was wrong. so..my mom comes in. now, shes only 31 and looks like a teenager, dresses like one...i have to admit, shes like my sister, not at all like a mom. but this was different. she walked into the room, sat on the floor and crossed her legs and said "hey guys...what ru talking about? hey, lets pretend im 13!!" i was so embarrased and couldnt talk besides that so i gave her a dirty look and she left saying "i thought i could try to be a teenager..."
there was another time where i was about 11 or 12 and i was shopping for bras. my crush was at the other side of the store (still within eyeshot). my mom comes over and holds one up to my chest and shouts out the size, right next to my crush

We were all at my friend's house. It was the first time we had invited the boys over. We were playing a really innocent game of "spin the bottle". All of a sudden the front door flew open, in walked my mom, grabbed me and beat me all the way home.
This is how I got my first bra. I'm sitting on the front porch talking with girl friends when my mom get home from shopping. She throws a sack in my lap and says "here's a bra for you and you had better wear it". Ugggh!

I guess it is inevitable that we are going to embarrass our kids at some point. I'm a mom now, but I had a young mom too, growing up. I had a boyfriend over (I was about 14 or 15). We were sitting in the LR watching TV, when my mom walks through in her robe. Thin material, no bra. Boyfriend staring. Me embarrassed. I hope your mom has the sensitivity never to do that to you. I still can't laugh about that one, and it was 25 years ago.

Mine would have to be that moment when a girl gets her first you know. I was I little freaked out and told my Mom. So sitting at the breakfast table my Mom proceeds to tell the family "That there's a new woman in the house." If I could have crawled under the table I would have. To make matters worse my male cousin was sitting right beside me and started choking on his pancakes. I think I'm still traumatized by it.

Hmm.
My mom's really not all that embarrassing and my friends like her but the one time I think I was embarrassed was when my mom dropped me of at school [this was way back in 7th grade] and I got out of the car and I forgot to say I love you to her and she got out of the car and ran after me yelling, "Tori, I Love You!! Give Your Mom A Hug"
I thought itt was funny after the fact.

The first time I got my period we were in a family BBQ in Florida.. well, I was 13, you know everything at this age is embarrassing.. So I went to the bathroom and I see the red spot, so I go out and tell my mom what had just happened and that i needed a pad... Well, she got so excited she told everybody that I had just gotten my period... everybody came to me and were like "Congratulations".. but I was so embarrassed!

Wow!! All that you've said would be Sooooooo Embarassing to me as well! I don't have quite that embarassing a story to tell, however, My Dad did take a picture of me when I had the Mumps and when I was older, would show that pic to boyfriends of mine! I was SO Embarassed!

They always told my teachers at parent-teacher night that if I ever misbehaved, they should just hit me with the first thing they could get their hands on and not to worry. "Just whack him over the head," my dad used to say. Then the teachers would relate the story to all the class to show how much my parents "supported" them.

We had to go to the store to get me some pads because i had started early and didn't have any...well we got in the store and when we went to pay...there was this hot guy at the thingy...and daddy saw me stareing at him and said...wait i think we forgot your stop leak honey...then he said wait never mind here's your stop leak...and the guy starteing cracking up...i ran away and hid...

My dad fell off a chair once and my mum said 'I feed my daughter snakes' instead of i feed my daughter snacks to one of my food technolofy teachers!!!!!
