As a military veteran from the Vietnam era trained as a journalist, I have to say that George Bush has been (and is) dangerous for all the ideals and principles upon which this nation is founded. Liking or not liking him is not the issue--I understand he can be quite pleasant in social settings when he wants to be. The issue is whether he (and his handlers in the administration, to include Cheney, Rumsfield, and Wolfowicz) have been good for America, and the very sad answer is NO...a resounding NO. He has turned us into a terrorist nation, this brat boy who wants to be tsar, by attacking a nation that has never once attacked us. The very things he wants Saddam Hussein on trial for have been committed by George Bush and his administration far beyond anything Saddam ever did to the Kurds our CIA paid to overthrow him. Bush and his team should be put on trial by the United Nations as war criminals, in my opinion, after first facing trial in the U.S. for violating the Constitution he has sworn to uphold (i.e., illegal wiretapping, prisoner abuses that are ongoing; vindictive acts against our supposed-to-be free press when they speak truths, vindictively outing a CIA agent to retaliate--like the spoiled brat he is--because Valerie Plame's husband would not lie for him and, through this exposure, also identifying the cover agency she and other CIA agents use--an act of treason at the very least!). As a nonelected president who had to cheat his way into office, he has been an absolute disaster for America, and has been pulling an "Enron" by overstating our economy. What Americans are going to find when he leaves office, since his daddy can no longer clean up his messes for him, is a far weaker America than was in place before he took office. The man was and is an alcoholic; a cocaine-addicted neer-do-well who has run this nation into the ground, and relies for now on a well-placed propaganda machine to hide the ugliness from the American people until after the elections. Wake up America!
