When you ask a question, there's a box that's checked by default that says, "Email me when I receive an answer" or something along those lines. Uncheck that when you ask a question.

Everytime you post a question, on the bottom of the screen, it gives you an option to receive an email when your question is answered. Uncheck that box and then submit the question. I think you can also change that option altogether in your profile. Not sure but try.

do what i do. i have a gmail account. i made a filter that sends that crap to the trash folder where i can look at it if i want but i don't care about it. any of them that are more than 30 days old get deleted by the server

Go back to your question. You should be able to edit the question and uncheck the box near the bottom that says that you want email notifications.

When you ask a question look at the bottom of the screen. There is a check box asking if you want e-mail notification. Uncheck it.

There a checkbox asking if you want answer notifications emailed to you that you have to UNCHECK at the end of every question you ask.

when you post a question, before you submit it, there is a box toward the bottom that you need to uncheck. it tells you that you will receive an email when your question is answered...

click on your avatar, go to personal info and uncheck the box that states,"notify me by e-mail when someone answers my question"

Go back to your question and choose a "best answer" then that question will be closed to new answers.

when you post the quesiton choose the option where it asks whether to send email or not.. choose NO.
