I like Hiroshima style better because I prefer chopped cabbage and other ingredients that are layered rather than mixed together with flour.

My favorite toppings are seafood stuff, such as squid, octopus, and shrimp. Also, when I make okonomiyaki, I put tenkasu (tempra crumbs) and chikuwa (fish paste) in it because they make my okonomiyaki tasty!!!

Man I miss okonomiyaki in Japan.
I would have to say Tenkasu is the must have ingredient in my okonomiyaki.

I like any kind of okonomiyaki. Monja too.
But my favorite will be the traditional Osaka Okonomiyaki.
The best thing about eating Okonomiyaki in osaka is the obachans that serve you. They pamper you and scold you and are just so darn friendly not to mention talkative.

"Anta dokokara kitano? Otokomae yane-. Mou okane nante ehh kara don don tebeteki! Obachan ogottaru wa! AHH!! Sonna okonomiyaki gyu gyu oshitara akante! Hunwari tsukurana akan noyo, hunwari. wakaru?"

They're the best.

I've only had Okonomiyaki from Osaka and I LOVED it! The one I got was so dense, I was full after eating only half, but I finished the whole thing because it was just so good! >.< I tried making my own at home once... didn't turn out >quite< the same, but it wasn't horrible either. ^_^

I like Hiroshima style hotate okonomiyaki with a big scallop flush in the center rather than as a topping and plenty of katsuboshi. I like to wash that down with plenty of Sapporo nama beiru.

Okonomiyaki with yaki-soba beneath it is great!
