What's positive about this vehicle?

I don't know of too much bad about it, other than the downsides to a design as old as this one was. By 2002 any problems with this platform had been taken care of, other than the platform itself. It will be a good reliable vehicle, plenty of power, and a good offroading vehicle. They are comfortable and are as good or better on gas than comparable pickups.

Does it have manual shift transfer case or the motor shifted? (they came both ways) Check to see if the vacuum switch on the transfer case is leaking fluid that is affecting the climate control. A frozen actuator cable, or bad diaphragm! (as it is located under the battery tray) Remove and Check the vacuum lines for the presence of transmission fluid. The transfer case vacuum switch is kind of hard to see and even harder to reach! it is on the drivers side toward the extreme top of the T-case. (these switches have a moderate failure rate)

the push button 4 wheel drive had a lot of problems

most chevy trucks of that time had fuel pump problems. they are not cheap either. about 700-800 dollars, parts and labor.

watch for bad camshaft if its a 2lt or a v8 305

itz koo i guess i had one and got rid of it cuz i had alot of electrical problems once that getz messed with therz no way to fix it!! gooooood luck
