Are you running for President, and if not, why ?
You could reform America and possibly end poverty and homelessness. I'd vote for you !

This is a good tax the rich and upper middle class scheme. This would negate any taxes paid by everyone who pays up to $60,000 per year. That would have everyone making a taxable gross income of about $225,000 per year and over pay for the $60,000 handout for everyone else. Of course the government would 1099 you for that $60,000 so you'd have to give back probably at least $20K of it. If you aren't employed you can add another 15% of the 60K to that for self-employment tax, which is one of the ways Big Brother sticks it to the small businessman. Of course we'd see an immediate exodus of jobs overseas and thousands of small businesses folding up because the tax rates would at least triple overnight to pay for it.
It's really a silly idea and totally impractical, but sort of fun to puzzle out the ramifications. I'm probably totally wrong in my calculations, but does it matter?

I dont think so, for all the above reasons.
I do however believe the government should invest a certian amount of money into research (especially oil alternatives). The way it currently goes about is all wrong though. The government should definetly take a serious stance on cooperating with other world governments on creating a consumer viable oil alternative.

I don't , people always have their hand out. When asked to do some extra work for some more money they act like you are crazy. They want more money but can't do what it takes to get more of it.That check means taking more money from the hard working people who step out and take a chance in life and give to the ones who sit back and take the easy way in life.

Does not go far enough, how about open check book or endless supply of wealth except for those who oppose the idea. They can be exploited and do all the work until they can not stand it anymore!

I think not because that socialism and socialism failed, ie i don't see USSR around. I will have to agree with you that i don't think the government should be funding research projects though. They should just give that money back to the people in the form of a tax cut.

i do not think giving the government giving a $5,000 check to every household in the us would work out because the government would just tax the people more money

I don't think so.
Everyone should go out and get a job. You will need education for that so start by getting good grades in school and then either pay for college or get scholarships.
Quit depending on everyone else to pay your bills.

Instead of giving everyone a check, they should just stop taking it in the first place. It's our tax dollars, if they stop taking it, they won't have to give it back, and we don't have to worry abou them wasting it. Flat tax of 5% for everyone, who's with me?
