Yeah sure, the Athabasca Tar Sands in Canada do, and China has already bought up some of the oil rights, and a pipeline to the west coast. Also, the high cost or refining that stuff, and the cost of thinning it with methanol shipped in from South America just so it can be pumped away, are enough to make at least one of the big oil companies, already on site, to pack their bags. There's plenty of oil if you can afford it, but don't blame the oil companies for the cost..

Plus, we can also convert coal into diesel fuel for about 48$ a barrell. The Nazi's invented it in WW2 when the lost Russia's oil.

Venezuala has massive reserves too, its just a different class of oil.
I think the cocncern these days are the emmissions.

Even so, it's still a good idea to look into alternative, renewable fuel sources. Just because it's there, doesn't mean we should squander it.
