As a person who was a teenager right in the middle of the streaking era, I think streaking stopped because nudity has become commonplace and is no longer the novelty it was in the 70's.

There is so many limp ***** a person can see before it becomes boring and the amount of woman that were streaking always was low and with out the tv coverage men just gave up. They figured out it was not helping there dating ratio.

by streaking, i will presume you mean running around naked showing yourself to unsuspecting strangers. i have never streaked but it is in my top 5 things to do before i die. when i am stuck in traffic one day, i want to get out of the car and streak up and down the road so that all the other people stuck in their cars will have something to laugh at or enjoy- whichever.

Although it does still occasionally happen ( I saw it happen a few years back at Lords Cricket Grounds on TV) it basically lost its novelty and is no longer fashionable to do, as it once was during the 70' s I believe.
