Socialism (Comunism - defined by Karl Marx) is a great philosophy.

In today's global market & socio-political agenda - there is no place for this idea.

The "Pinko's" as they are called demand Social awareness & yet they are very divided amongst thier members.

As a former chair person for the Socialist Party of America - I can personally attest to the blatent disregard of awareness.

They idea of limitations is present in socialist thought but - it can only be regulated by a central power force. This central power force would regulate all aspects of life & distribute everything according to the current economic status of the government. Inherently - this produces greed & a class based system which in turn changes the principle of socilaism into Maoism or Stalinism - both of which are based in the power & greed arenas.

It has become increasingly appearent that a socialized agenda must be put into place - but as to what thet is - we are not yet sure.

If you look at the current agendas set forth by the US government & it's social services agendas - you will discover that they are geared towards keeping those in poverty - in an impoverished state.

The idea you have expressed is a great one & i encourage you to question our govermental agenda - but in my opinion - untill we have a female led government with true socilized political agendas - we are doomed to the idiocy in which we are led to believe we voted for.

Peace to my brothers & sisters who fight for thier rights in impoverished countries.
Power to the people of Venezuela & Cuba - how have instituted the power of social thinking.

Support CITGO gas because it supports a socialist government & the people of Venezuela

You are a socialist. Don't worry. I've been accused of it too, but that was a long time ago. I've embraced capitalism, especially with the advent of all the lovely shoe designers increasing in talent and retail pricing. I need a little bit more, but I pay my tithes, take care of my immediate family and others, save, invest and create opportunities for others in my community. Just being a good steward of money is my desire and hope and this is what we REALLY all need.

50,000 dollars a year for a lifetime isn't much when you consider how much the average Americans spends! And that's socialism. Go capitalism!!

Actually, Libya is the best example of this--it's almost precisely what Qaddafi did in that country. Not that that country is anyone's example of having liberty (a word that shares etymological roots with "liberal", interestingly enough).

I despise the idea, by the way. It kills incentive and individuality.

Because on top of everything else (the Constitution, fairness, aversion to totalitarianism and slavery, etc.) it will kill all incentive.

If that's all people can make, they will stop.

Everyone will have their hand out, and no one will really work hard.

The economy will contract dramatically.

People will try to leave, and you'd have to build a fence to keep them in.

Welcome to Cuba.

No cause then the poor will eventually have more money. And if we keep giving them handouts they'll never make their own money.

No, that's socialism, which is almost like communism. It depends on your house payment, mortage, how many kids you have, schooling, and all that stuff. It wouldn't work out.
