If you want the eggs to try and develop into a fish you have to separate the eggs from the other fish. You can get a see through fish box and put the eggs in it and hang it over the side of the tank, of course with the eggs in the water. Otherwise the other fish and even their parent fish will eat them. If you don't want new fish leave them where they are and the other fish will eat the eggs. put some of the environment of the tank where the eggs are but make sure it is free of any organisms that could cause the fish eggs to die. Good luck I don't think many will life, but give it a shot. usually fish of the same kind will be the parents. Sorry no Hybrid experiment on your part. Whatever two fish are the same will be the parents. If you have Gold Fish they populate like Rabbits. You will start to see a darkening of the eggs when the eggs are developing. New Fish in about 2 weeks. Good Luck - You are now Grandparents. If they survive.

we had guppies spawning like crazy one year! it's nuts! a few things happen in a regular fish tank - other fish eat the babies and they get stuck in the rocks on the bottom. we actually had a seperate small fishtank for the babies (there were so many that we'd send some outside in the pond with the turtle... he never had it so good!) we could never find the eggs so we just scooped out as many babies as we could find. i finally couldn't handle it anymore and fed them all to the turtle. no more guppies!
