It depends on who's answering but yes if you post a problem usually there's someone out there to give you a good answer unless the people you get are plain old jokesters and pranksters.

I think it is a area where others share their views on the problems you may face and from there you are able to see if any of the naswer can actually solve your problem or minimise your problem. Not all question will have a answer to it, sometimes it is just the view of some of our friends and it could be very useful to others at the same time

I dont think they solve the problems, but they do give people a direction in which to start solving it by themselves. I think that those who are actually asking a question of something that is important to them really look for some place to start with the issue at hand, from people who have experienced the same things.

Only if you ask a question so simple that someone of average intelligence could answer it. I've noticed that people here can't stand to read long paragraphs, and many can't write legibly. This site is like the "normal people" version of Wikipedia. Yahoo Answers is a community where people can share experiences and opinions rather than find an ultimate answer, like they can with an encyclopedia.

most of the time people really give you what they feel is a honest answer with the hopes of actually helping,and maybe you dont have anyone else to turn to for advice.Wich means it actually helps.

it might not solve the problem .but it gives u another outlook u may have not thought of..it hurt i don't think.
