I believe they can AFFECT your life for as long as you think about them and try to use them in your life. Unfortunately, it's often too easy to go back to a former, more comfortable routine.

I have three affirmations I got from several Weight Watchers meetings. They're on my refrigerator and they do help--when I look at them. It's enough to make me decide I really don't want whatever snack I was going to drink. However, sometimes it's just too easy to ignore them when I'm having a bad day and need "comfort food" or just don't care at that particular moment.

I have used affirmations for 40 years and yes they can change your life.
One out of hundreds was how I got my husband nr 2. I was in a bad marriage for 17 years and started my affirmations to have a great marriage. In my mind I thought we could make a change and it would all be peaches and cream. The affirmations were daily, written or in mind ,about 2 months after I started we split and I was broken hearted. I thought affirmations were for the birds. Somehow I repeated the same hoping that there would be a reconciliation. There was n't , but within months I met a great man and we have been married for 37 years. The affirmation came through I have a great marriage!
This is only one example of hundreds. We, as a household, affirm our good health , our daily needs being met and on and on.

Yes definately, your expections, your self-esteem, the deep belief that a person has inside shows on the outside. Just as a cup of strawberry, if it was to overflow it would show on the outside of the cup and there would be no mistaking that it was strawberry. Look at a persons face, yes we cannot help our features but our thoughts influence our emotions and create our characteristic lines. Some smiles radiate warmth and happiness while others lack that luster. It all comes from a mindset that starts on the way a person thinks. Keep the motivational people in your life, work on accomplishing things daily, focus and act and see how your life transforms. Success equals many little acts (steps) done over a long period of time. I myself am a work in progress. I believe that I deserve the best in life as that is what I work for, I have seen the changes in how I interview and develop rapport with persons. :D

Absolutely!

* Along with reminding myself of all that I'm grateful for, I say my affirmations every morning to start of the day.
* I've created affirmations cards that reflect back into my car window while I'm driving.
* I've constomized a Yahoo widget to randomly flash affirmations I wish to focus on while on the computer.
* Finally I use a program every night before going to bed that plays affirmations to appropriate background music.

The results over the years have been absolutely incredible.

* During tough financial times, creative solutions, key people and/or opportunities have shown up in my life and prosperity has followed.
* I"ve lost 60 lbs and haven't been sick once in the last three years ... this after being in the hospital three times in one year, almost dying one of those times.
* I'm blessed with a wonderful family and many very special friends.
There are more examples but I think you get the idea.

In short, the power of thoughts and words are undeniable and affirmations are one of the best techniques to develop and maintain a healthy, positive attitude & self image that can only manifest itself in one way, through your actions and results.

They really do work ; but you must use them to achieve success with them. It's like telling yourself you can't do something , and then finally you just accept that you can't do it . What your mind can conceive and believe , you will; achieve . Positive affirmations CAN change your life .I use them all the time . Sometimes it's amazing ; almost like self-hypnosis if you use it daily .

Affirmations are positive routes to thinking, but they have to be followed up with positive actions to work.

Of course now no longer. that's a efficient assumption, and one that is secure with all of our observations. even with the shown fact that, in the relatively international you do no longer prove plenty concerns a hundred%, and thinking you will is surely frankly ridiculous. there is observable evidence in help of gravity being the equivalent in each and every single place in the observable Universe, even with the shown fact that there is no evidence of this. Why does not evidence suffice? Why ought to we could desire to coach out all our actuality-claims with absolute walk interior the park? we don't assume that of you nor do you assume it of your self, so why ought to you assume it human beings? surely, in case you sense technologies proves concerns a hundred% or perhaps seeks to attain this then you certainly are very blind to the basics of the scientific technique. I mean no offense, fairly, that's merely that that's immediately seen which you do no longer understand what you're speaking approximately while you talk approximately "proving" scientific strategies. there is no such ingredient as absolute evidence for plenty concerns, in the relatively international we use evidence. evidence maximum respected exists in arithmetic (and strong judgment it relatively is a subset of it), or perhaps there with the visual appeal of Gödel's incompleteness theorem we now no longer understand that now no longer even all precise mathematical statements is additionally popular to be precise.
