Had a old love intrest 8 years ago we dident work out back then , problem on his end. Now I have contacted him and I still care for him but just like old times he keeps stringing me along nothing more do I need to break this off ?

Yes, you probably should never have started back in the first place. The same old problems will resurface again and again. Time doesn't heal all.

Sounds like he's still got issues about becoming committed. Or it may just be that while you are interested in him it doesn't work the other way around. You'll use your time better if you break it off and look around you. Often there are people in our lives who are interested in building something with us but if we're still holding onto the "dream of what could be" we don't even see them. Wake up; the dream is over. Someone may be right in front of you who wants to love you if you will give him the chance.
