It worries me to see all these woman asking all of these basic questions about their bodies and their cycles….and then getting all these different answers – and usually most of these answers are WRONG!
Everyone's cycle is different. There is a myth that woman ovulate 14 days after their period begins...but that is only an AVERAGE and each month can be different. The other thing is that sperm can live inside you for up to 5 days.... so if you are having a shortened cycle one month and you have sex right after your period and you ovulate earlier than day 14 than yes, there is a chance of getting pregnant. However, it will not be during your period. Many people think it’s possible because they do not completely understand how conception works. It might not happen right at the moment of intercourse since the sperm can live for days! If your cycle is short and you ovulate earlier than day 14 it can SEEM like conception takes place during your period...They only way to know is to know exactly when you ovulate. There are several ways to know and some are more effective than others. Some can only predict before ovulation happens and some can only predict that is has already happened. The absolute best info I can give you is to go read a book called Taking Charge of your fertility by Toni Weschler. It will help you understand your body and all the myths about it. It will help you time when you are ovulating and the best times to conceive – or not! . It's about knowing your body and knowing when you are fertile or not. You can pick and choose what you do with your info. Good luck and don't listen the all the myths! Even if you don't get into charting and everything....it will help you in so many ways!

at the same time as implantation can not oftentimes be felt, some women persons will journey a small quantity of bleeding as their infant completes the 'implantation' procedure into the thick uterine lining. because an implantation bleed can take position round 8 to twelve days after ovulation (or about 2 to six days previously the girl's next era might want to were due), it may regularly be perplexed with having a 'era' (even with the very undeniable actuality that an implantation bleed is oftentimes lighter and does no longer very last as long as a common era). this would make the girl believe she isn't pregnant (for a lengthy time period besides) even with the undeniable fact that it may also make contributions to miscalculating the child's due date. it really is because the 'due date' is predicted utilising the initiating date of the superb universal menstrual era. Caregivers will attempt to substantiate that the girl's very last 'era' became honestly universal, so as that the due date is calculated from the superb era, no longer the implantation bleed. (in the different case the child's due date will be predicted as being about 3 to 4 weeks later than it could be). through 14 days after fertilisation (or at the same time as the girls persons's era might want to were due) the blastocyst turns into an 'embryo', implanted firmly into their mom's uterine lining. The embryo has each and each of the considered necessary construction blocks in position to create someone individual, and also you do not even comprehend you're pregnant yet! A pregnant lady's temperature will regularly upward thrust to about 37.8oCelsius (or about one hundred.4oFahrenheit), at the same time as that is mostly 37oCelsius (or ninety 8.6oFahrenheit) at the same time as no longer pregnant.

first of all, you need to figure out how many days after your period, you have a small window of time for ovulation, usually one or two weeks after your period, depending on your cycle length. The soonest test for pregnancy that I know of will do it 5 days before your next period. However, if you're stressing about it, it could throw off your cycle too, stress is a big factor of when your cycles happen.

your are only likely to get pregnant 10-16 days after the first day of your last period. preg tests only work from the first missed day of a period- so you'll have to wait till then

wait until you are due your next period, but don't take it that you are not pregnant if you do bleed because some women have periods even when they are pregnant. give it 4-5 weeks and see your doctor is the best advice.
