I like the Hebrides by Mendellshon particularly because it is inspired by islands of the coast of Scotland where it is really stormy, and the sea is very choppy. So when you listen to the music you can imagine the sea perfectly as the notes undulate and the music comes to a crescendo before ebbing, and then rising again. It is very good. I came to the realisation of how good it is when listening to it while under the effects of mushrooms. That is something that will never be topped in my listening experiences. I felt like I was actually watching the sea crash against cliff faces and rocks.

Scheherazade by Rimsky-Korsakov.
It gives me serious goosebumps.
The best part is the 2nd movement - The Story of the Kalender Prince. It begins with a stunningly beautiful and exotic sequence, then shifts gears into an aggresive but disciplined brass and percussion assault on your ears. The crashing of the cymbals really makes you feel alive.

I easily have a marginally diverse address this problem. The time period "classic" or "Classical" in connection with music will be slightly overused. it really is been utilized to indicate a range of of form of different sorts of music, inclusive of united states, Rock and Jazz. i imagine of it as making use of to music it quite is of a classic and attractiveness marked through excellence. Many classical composers created their music lengthy after Beethoven, Bach, or the different composers often called classical. as an party, an American composer whose artwork has been seen classical is Gershwin, who composed rather in the first 0.5 of the twentieth Century. an option time period i love is "tremendous music." the problem is that very just about any time period we use might want to be stretched or decreased in length in accordance to a persons' tastes. i imagine we ought to categorize music--i do not comprehend any opposite direction to categorise it--yet remember that the interest (or ear) of the beholder would have plenty to do with how the diverse sorts are perceived. we'd want to correctly do more desirable helpful to style music out through diverse sorts inclusive of opera and symphonic, yet i might want to imagine this may create a danger of except some very sensible music. an exciting question. i'd be wondering about it for a lengthy time period.

The Four Seasons - Vivaldi

I got into the habit of playing it on the way to fish for trout.

It somehow always put me in the right mood.

BUT - there are sooooo many horrid recordings of it around, and many played on Classics Radio. Some make me wince!!

It will always be Rachmaninov's 2nd Piano Concerto. This is the piece that inspired me to take up a career in music, and I feel like I know it so well, but I always find something new in it when I listen to it.
