A cheetah is a wild animal that is fast and have sharp teeth. To be honest I don't think you would even survive trying to tame it.

Wild animals can never be completely trusted as pets, as they have strong instincts we have purposely bred out of some animals to be pets. It is safer to sick with cats, dogs, etc. which have been domesticated for thousands of years. If you want something exotic looking in the feline area, go to www.cfainc.org & check out breeds like the Abyssinian, Singapura, Egyptian Mau, & Ocicat. I had 2 Abysssinians and they were so cool, sleek, exotic looking & active. They always freaked people out that came to my house. I had a water meter reader I had to convince it was ok to come in my house - she was afraid they were some wildcat that would attack her!
