my I/net provider goes DEAD about once a day.WHY??

I pull the plug on the modem for a minute and the provider (ISP) comes back on. Why does this happen?

my ISP is Prodigy.mx

i've been told that the comp and modem lose their syncness or something like that. I've had to do that. Are you on broadband? Do you have a wireless router? Another reason could be the phone line quality.

What I do is restart the modem, router and computer and then I finally get a good connection. good luck.
