In my opinion he is an idea - the voice of millions of people with mouths closed because of the real terrorism. Since he's an idea, he becomes everything that is needed: Revenge, Terror, Justice, Revolution, Nemesis.

he's the opposite of a terrorist. a terrorist uses force to generate fear. V uses force to generate bravery. i wouldn't call him a revolutionary, because, imho, he doesn't really give a darn about anybody else except his own revenge against the government. i don't think he really cared if other people's lives improved, he just wanted them to rise up and overthrow the government for him.

This was a revolutionary fight for whats right because of the situation. If it was today then I would say terroist, but since the government was controlling hteir people, like a communist country, then It was defintily for the good of all people.

The latter.
V is a masked crusader championing freedom from an oppressed government set in a fictional futuristic city.
I think the movies' message is so relevant especially post 9/11.

V is more of a vigilante fighting oppression. It has a very 1984-esq type feel to it.

That question could be asked of many other people in the world. Too bad nobody answers intelligently.
