If you've never seen one, it's shaped like a 1-3 layer wedding cake if you can picture it with ribbons and gifts for the new baby. They can be elegent with flowers or adorned with cute characters/themes that the parents have chosen for their new bundle of joy. I'm just wanting some idea as to how many people might find this interesting, creative and worth purchasing. Thanks for your comments.

I think the parents ( ESPECIALLY the mom) would love it!! I know I would. That sounds so beautiful and how thoughtful it would be to have someone actually put in the time and effort to buy a gift that is special, creative and more than the typical gifts!

I am 14 weeks pregnant myself with my third. Can you come and be my best friend and throw me a baby shower!?! lol You truely sound like a wonderful friend!! God Bless.

As a mom of two kids I can honestly say that I am really glad that nobody gave me one. I much preferred the diapers still in the packages that I got instead. But I'm also limited on space, so I have to think about what the easiest way to store things would be. Having the diapers out of their packages and taking up more space just wouldn't work for me. They're cute, and the idea is great, but just remember to keep in mind the moms living conditions as well before you decide to give one.

I think they are a good idea. The diapers can always be used (isn't that the idea?).

It's a very practical and useful gift, unlike clothes that may or maynot be too little before the baby is even born or may be something we wouldn't want for our baby.

Well - I've seen them, but I don't think I'd purchase one unless it was for a baby shower of, say, 40 people or more. It's a cute idea, it really is, and they can be quite lovely (not to mention funny) but they're pretty pricey and, er, inedible LOL. Since there's also all the rest of the shower expenses to consider, I think I would probably spend mine elsewhere.

Last year the diaper cake was THE unique gift for baby showers.

Now, it's available on hundreds of baby shower gift websites.

Heck, a google search on "diaper cake" turned up nearly 300,000 hits!

Ho hum, been there, done that.

I had one for my baby shower. It was really cool, and the diapers got used after the shower. Nothing is a waste of $$ if it can be used for two different reasons. Mine was decorated really nice. It didn't look tacky at all!

Good luck!

If he might desire to cook dinner, i might somewhat stay in... yet being that isn't the case, i might like to circulate out, with all of my 5 little ones and husband! and to no longer be a pig.... yet the two - cheesecake AND chocolate fudge cake - screw the nutrition plan :)

It's cute, but a waste of money.. you know where the diapers would end up. I'd never purchase one, but I'd entertain ideas to build one myself.
