To me it's just the stupidest idea ever. I mean....if we had no government...no cops...no nothing...we'd just be going back to the days of the wild west. People dying on the streets everyday.

Some people believe in anarchy the same way some of us believe in chaos.
I even went down to alphagraphics and had them make me a bomper sticker that said PRAY FOR CHAOS and let me tell you that was a lot of fun.
You're right there are people that believe in anarchy but they lack clever catch-phrases and smart-aleck rejoinders that will help their idea to catch on.
As a consequence, they sit in dirty basements beneath squalid apartment blocks and carry on rambling academic discussions as they sip festering coffee and scratch their rashes.
I, on the other hand, have a nifty bomper sticker and cruise around town in my 2006 Durango waving at the girls and throwing them kisses. Life is good.

mainly because it sounds cool and has a neat symbol. Anyways, I can see you haven't done any research, but you have generally the right idea. It is pretty stupid, but not head and shoulders stupid over any other form of government. Most anarchists are teenagers and tools, but the dyed-in-the-wool true anarchists aren't quite what you'd imagine. It's a more complicated idea than just "no government"

It's ironic actually, because anarchy is actually still a form of government. Non-government is a way of self-governing.

the true anarchists were utopians - they believed that people could just get along with each other and would only take what they needed for themselves. Therefore, all govt., police, etc should be gotten rid of.
