umm well it all depends on what hard drive they work on. like if ur toshiba has intel celeron and ur IBM has ADM...then the toshiba is better.

Toshiba is much less espensive if you get them on sale and they are about the same quality.

Namebrand really doesn't matter....i have a cheap laptop, and perfectly works fine....
