Define safe?

Legally correct?
As long as both parties are of legal age it matters not.

Morally correct?
As long as both parties and the parties friends/family are alright with it then it matters not.

Safe? I see no correlation between age and safety. There really is no reason for a girl under the age of consent to date someone that is not her own age or within a year or two for so many reasons...but the best one is to be on the same level as that person to have the same boudaries and interests and to be yourself and not to try to be older than you have to be. But the question is the maturity levels of the two involved. Is one sexually active and therefore seeking the same in their next relationship? Is one able to drive so that they are able to take a younger person to places they would not normally be allowed to go?
This is really about people. Who they are, what they want, where they are headed in life. Whether they act and then think or if they are caring and considerate people.
You are safest getting to know yourself first and then finding a person that wants the same things, enjoys the same things and is into your not your number.

Someone that is close to your age. Unless you feel that you are truley in love with the person no matter what age your partner is....
You must have that chemistry though.
If not your relationship is going to go dow hill.

well a big problem is when someone under 18 goes out with someone over 21 because that person could be charged with rape. i, myself, went out with a 23 year old when i was 17 and i got away with it. it's mainly up to you, some people connect better with older people. but you have to be careful too because there could be old perverts out there looking for teenage girls....

Depends on what you're talking about...dating? Probably more than a couple of years would have y'all not on the same page...and minors and non-minors probably shouldn't date (legal issues if sex is involved)...

I take a lot of factors in. I personally did not really "look" for anyone over 3 years. But maturity level, family, money, lifestyle....these all factored in for my choices.
