Congratulations! You may have felt little movements before and thought it was gas or something. It's great that he's moving around. My belly really started to pop during my 5th month. It seemed like I went from feeling chubby to actually feeling pregnant. Also, sometimes how active your baby is can depend on how active you are. The more active you are, you are actually rocking your baby to sleep. If he's growing and has less amniotic fluid to cradle him, he'll be awake more and more active. This is when trying to get to sleep becomes fun. You love the movement but you just want to say "could you please settle down so mommy can get some sleep". I loved being pregnant. Enjoy it and best wishes for a healthy baby!

Congratulations!!! This is one of the most wonderful feelings in the world and yesss, its quite normal for him to move around. He is communicating with you...telling you that he is alive and healthy. Speak to him, call him by his name (hope you picked one already) and tell him that you love him and will protect him. Sing to him as well (if you can).
From now on you must anticipate his movements everyday. As he grows the movements will be stronger. Seems as if you have a soccer player on the way : ). If he stops moving for a whole day, it may be an indication that some thing is wrong and you will have to see your doc just to be sure.
Remember not to take any form of medication unless prescribed by your OB. Pain killers and cold medicines can make the foetus sleep all day and not move.
Enjoy every moment of this beautiful experience and share them with your partner too. All the very best Mom.

Everything is fine. Enjoy it. I didn't feel my first move until I was about 20 weeks or so but I've felt this one since 16 weeks. Don't worry about it. Try new things, see if music or certain voices make him move more or less. You'll find out what gets his attention best. My first loved the sound of car engines reving up and tattoo guns.

ya thats normal. The baby was moving before you just couldnt feel it yet, or didnt notice. As far and feeling like your belly gained overnight, thats normal too. Funny that you say it didnt get any bigger. It probably did, you dont notice but I swear it happens overnight sometimes! Good Luck =)

My OBGYN told me that it's quite normal for babies to be so active. Enjoy those moments, they are very special. Congratulations to you and your family and give your baby as much snuggles and cuddles while you can because they grow VERY fast. Take Care and have a safe and happy pregnancy.

woo-hoo, how exciting. He'll keep wriggling from now until he's out (and then for years after that!!). You'll get to love it and you'll worry if it stops for any length of time. This is YOUR time exclusivley with him- noone else can know your baby for several months, how cool is that.
