In the new exorcist when she came down the stairs backwards. Freaked me out. Also, when I first saw The Ring and the girl crawled out of the well.

One thing that always terrified me was actually in Nightmare on Elm Street. The scene where Nancy falls asleep in class and Tina calls to her from the bloody bodybag. Now that I'm older, I would have to say that the only thing I've seen recently that makes my flesh crawl is Saw. I lost my tolerance for seeing gratuitous blood and gore in movies a long time ago! I like psychological thrillers and horror movies more.

In The Ring, when they're talking about how the first girl in the movie died and they flash a shot of her on the screen and her face is really effed up...that scared the crap out of me in the theater.

Also, any moment in the film, It, where the clown is involved.
"We all float!"
That used to give me nightmares :-(

In the drama "Crash", when the foreign man is about to shoot the man who replaced his doorknob, and his 5 year old daughter runs in front of him. For a few seconds, you truly think that the daughter got shot and will die. Although it's not concidered a "horror" film, that was terrifying.

In the movie Misery, Kathy Bates 'hobbles' James Caan's legs. The buildup is so sick, and...urg. Sweet Jesus! The whole movie is freaky.
