Hey jasyon,
Just because some bozos at IAU don't recognise Pluto as a planet doesn't mean it changes anything. Join me at http://pleasesavepluto.org/ and petition against this decision. Let's not let them win easily.

Well, this is an interesting question, but you neglect two points:
A) The definition of 'planet' is quite arbitrary. Pluto is just an icy rock floating around the sun. It was before humans ever saw, it was after they called it a planet, and it remains so now. It has not changed at all because it isn't called a planet. I's still a huge icy rock orbiting the sun. I would still be in your constellation, regardless of what it is called.
B) Astrology has been off for centuries. Due o the mobile nature of Earth's axis (wobbling like the axis of a top) our perspective of the constellaions have changed a great deal. As a result, the zodiac signs are no longer correct in the scientific sense (some have proposed new zodiacs to correct the shifting belt of the sun's path across the stars). So even though you are a 'scorpio' you may not have been truly born under the consellation scorpio, it is really more a matter of tradition. And as long as we're talking about tradition, who cares if the scientists think it's a planet or not, eh?

Pluto is a tiny dwarf planet, a large black irregular meteorite-like.
The ruler of Scorpio and Aries has always been the planet Mars. (Scorpio by night and Aries by day). The co-rulers of Scorpio are Mars and Saturn. Pluto stood for Hell. But Mars-Saturn always ruled Scorpio in the 8th house, house of Death and metamorphoses.

Good question. I'd like to know the answer to this too because our ruling planet is pluto and mars. I'm a scorpio.

No, you no longer exist. However, the government, in it's wisdom, has given you 7 days to get off the planet, then it is sending the army after you.

terrific answer rowdy_ferret!
but if the name "planet" doesn't make any difference, what is the asteroid belt doing to my horoscope?!? (I'm a Scorpio.)
Not that I believe in horoscopes. They don't usually say anything specific.
