Find the best number of different outfits that can be made if you choose 1 each from 11 skirts, 9 blouses, 3 belts, and 7 pairs of shoes?

hmmm...there is some kind of formula. do u have it in ur textbook? it's like n-1, n-2, something like that...!! good luck~

btw.. i don't think u can just multiply them...

ok...it was bugging me so i looked it up: Permutations.

now i have to look again. cuz it's Combinations. sigh~

n!/k!(n-k)!

n = total # of items
k = # of groupings (skirt, blouse, belt, shoes)

30!/4!(30-4)!=

30!/4!(26!) =

30x29x28x27/4x3x2x1 = 27,405

It's been a while since I've done much math but - I think you would multiply 11x9x3x7
